Located in the Finger Lakes Region of Central New York, our Bed and Breakfast features breathtaking views of Ithaca College and Cornell University, just a few miles away. Each year hundreds of guests enjoy the private and cordial atmosphere of our unique lodging. With easy access to local sights and destinations, The Inn at City Lights is a haven for visitors needing a "Home Away from Home." And...Speaking of "home"...

Guest Check-in time from 4-6pm.

Check-out time is 11 am.

We ernestly request that visitors arrive ON-TIME.

Those who must arrive any later than 6 pm, please make special arrangements at least 24-hours in advance.

We ask that our guests arrive on time, checking-in with suitcases and bags, BEFORE heading out for dinner, etc. Getting to know where to park, how to enter your rooms, and getting aquainted with our house is vitally important to the comfort of ALL of our guests, and the overall enjoyment of your stay.

Please Note: Due to an increase in requests, we are now serving LIGHT BREAKFASTS "In Suite" during the weekdays, and FULL BREAKFASTS in our country kitchen on WEEKENDS only.

City Lights is a lovingly restored Greek Revival Farmhouse, circa 1863. With 7.5 acres to stroll, hike, or jog, our beautiful gardens and picnic areas provide magnificent panoramic views. There's lots of room to walk or run the dog, or just simply stretch your legs.

Small boy running Well-behaved, happy children are welcome at our house. There's lot of land to run around on, a basketball hoop on-site, a large field for a game of catch or frisbee, and lots of trails behind the house for an easy nature walk. There's great kid-friendly attractions nearby, including The Cayuga Nature Center, The Science Center, The Museum of the Earth, The Farm Sanctuary, and many wonderful state parks with great swimming, hiking and boating.

PET INFORMATION:

Cally, OFF THAT COUCH! Christmas, the queen Smokey The Boy Our three cats, Christmas, Callie and Smokey, will warmly welcome you in the kitchen, but they do not enter into the guest areas of the house. Those visitors with severe allergies, MUST let us know, so we can make appropriate arrangements.

We welcome pets with the following stipulations:

We accept happy, healthy and well behaved pets, preferring smaller animals, and / or ones who comfortably stay in their carrying cases, crates, and mini-kennels. Please bring your pet's crate. We charge a non-refundable pet-cleaning fee of $25.00 per pet, for a two-night stay, (longer stays require an additional fee).

We ernestly require that the animals be monitored while the pets are in the rooms, and ESPECIALLY crated when the guests leave the pet unattended. If your pet is known to bark or whine during your absence, THEY MUST NOT BE LEFT unattended, for the comfort of ALL our guests.

We ask that pet owners make every effort to keep their pets OFF THE FURNITURE to avoid damages and dirt. Please bring CLEAN sheets or blankets for your pet, if possible, to cover furniture.

ALL pets MUST BE up to date on vaccinations and flea control. We request that pet owners refrain from bringing the pets on our back patio OR in our kitchen area, as this can upset our cats, and possibly disturb our other guests.

We ask that all pet owners take full responsibility for interactions with OTHER GUESTS' PETS, pet damages, etc. We reserve the right to insist that any NON-compliant pets be dealt with in a fair and prompt manner, for the comfort of all our guests.Thank you.

City Lights is a place of comfort, quiet, and hospitality. Our visitors enjoy healthy and gourmet breakfasts in our warm country kitchen. Amenities include cable TV in each bedroom, wireless internet access, private entrances, ample off-street parking, private baths, and plenty for room to stroll around. Three spacious multi-room suites are available with private entrances, roomy sitting and dining areas with refrigerators, and private baths. The Inn also features two attractive traditional bedrooms, with a charming shared bath located just down the hall.

We encourage our guests to take advantage of the many cultural and recreational destinations located just minutes from our door. Browse through our own antiques and consignment shop: It is filled with historical and novel treasures! Visit the Ithaca Science Center, the Museum of the Earth, the Cayuga Nature Center, Watkins Glen Race track, Corning's Museum of Glass, the Cayuga and Seneca Wine Trails, local art galleries, museums, theatres, breathtaking waterfalls, and of course the beauty of the Finger Lakes themselves. These attractions and so many others truly make the Ithaca area "Gorges."

Is cross-country skiing your thing? Look no further! City Lights provides easy access to wonderful trails located just outside of our own back door. Ski rentals are locally available, and downhill skiing facilities are within an easy drive.
